SIDE HUSTLE FILM - SEEKING INTERVIEWEES

SIDE HUSTLE is a character study of a sugar baby, “D,” and incorporates fiction and documentary elements. Interspersed throughout the film will be moments from documentary audio interviews with real-life sugar babies and sex workers.

This casting call is for sugar babies and sex workers who are open to participating in the documentary interview portion of the piece.

Information will not be shared with third parties, and will remain confidential. The sole purposes of this project are artistic and social - to give voice to the interviewees.

The point of this piece is to show some of the everyday moments of sugar babies and sex workers, which is in and of itself a radical thing to do.

Rate: This is a low budget documentary-narrative hybrid art film. Unfortunately, as is standard with documentary, there is no payment. However, your participation is SO greatly valued, and you will receive a "Special Thanks" in the credits.

Abby Harri is a casting director / scout. Specializing in street casting and finding new talent, she has worked on films such as Yann Demange's WHITE BOY RICK, for which she discovered lead actor Richie Merritt; Matt Porterfield's SOLLERS POINT (NYT Critics’ Pick); Annabelle Attanasio's MICKEY AND THE BEAR (SXSW 2019); HBO’s EUPHORIA; the Safdie Brothers’ UNCUT GEMS; Jane Schoenbrun's WE'RE ALL GOING TO THE WORLD'S FAIR (Sundance 2021); and Riley Keough and Gina Gammell's upcoming BEAST. SIDE HUSTLE is her first film as a director.
